GAVIN B JAMES – ‘Biography’
Gavin grew-up around advertising, allowing early exposure to film sets. His highschool summers were spent working production on Features for Miramax, Dreamworks, and HBO Films.
After high school, an extensive portfolio and professional industry experience enabled Gavin to be 1 of 15 fellows accepted to a graduate level film conservatory - the International Film Institute in Rockport, Maine.
Soon after graduating he Associate Produced the feature film UNCLE NINO starring Joe Mantegna and Anne Archer.
UNCLE NINO went on to break the test-market box office record in 2004.
The success of UNCLE NINO lead to a position at SONY PICTURES TELEVISION where he operated on the executive team of the CBS show JOAN OF ARCADIA, which won the PEOPLE'S CHOICE AWARD, CHRISTOPHER AWARD, AMERICAN FILM INSTITUTE AWARD, HUMINATAS AWARD, and received three EMMY NOMINATIONS.
After two seasons, he left SONY to shoot his first Feature Film as a Writer/Producer/Director, entitled FOOTSTEPS.
